Will Everything Be OK?
Typing the title reminded me of the Scrubs musical episode in series 6, where they all reassure the patient she’ll be fine. The song always sticks in my head annoyingly!
So I quit my job, and today is the last day there. I’ve worked there for over two years and I am actually quite sad. Not enough to cry or anything… Feels like the end of an era really.
I have applied for a few jobs, Graduate Managment Schemes, one with a pub company and the other a car rental company. Their starting saleries are about a million thousand pounds higher then what I currently earn, and I really need the extra cash, so that’d be helpful if I got one of the jobs.
It’s still not what I want to do though. It is not my dream job. Obviously my dream job is to work with computers, and the internet but I just don’t have the qualifications and cannot afford to retrain. I will have to wait and see how everything pans out. I know I’d really enjoy the jobs, the bar one because I am used to it, and the car one because it will be something new and challanging. We’ll have to wait and see, I’ve got a telephone interview on the 3rd Jan, so wish me luck!
I really do need money though, what with Christmas next week, and I’ve not even been out shopping for family or anything. I have bills upon bills upon bills to pay, I have council tax to sort out and rent, and a bond for this house to find. All I want is a new camera and some new clothes! It’s like everytime I save more then about £100 I have to pay something else off.
It’s all going to be fine isn’t it? Let us tell ourselves that then. Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine.
Enjoy your Christmas if I don’t blog again beforehand..! Have a good one!

I hope you get one of those jobs and eventually I hope you get to do your dream job :).
I don’t know the reasons why you left your old job but if it wasn’t anything urgent you might have done better keeping it on until you found something else, to avoid being inbetween jobs
I hope you will be able to find your dream job. Maybe you could start up something yourself? I did and it has been very rewarding - especially because I don’t have to do anything I don’t find exciting.
I love that song from Scrubs! It’s so sweet, I do tend to sing it to myself when I feel down. I agree with what Nan says however I wouldn’t depend on a personal business entirely. There are many perks to working for a big company with consistency being one of them. You could always manage a project in your spare time to test how it goes. Anyway, good luck with your interview for your new job.
