What’s to Come & Adobe InDesign

Good morning all, I have spent all yesterday evening and this morning creating and editing a C.V / Porfolio using InDesign (I love that program!) I am sending it out for a few vacancies that I have found online.

I went with a pink and grey theme, as I love pink and the grey looked very pretty with it!  It wasn’t as harsh on the eyes as the black either!  In total it was 7 pages long! Ohh!

So watch this space, I might be employed this time next week!  I’ve been out of work for 3 weeks since I moved home, and it’s driving me crazy!

Well, as I mentioned before, I have a new design in mind for this site which I shall be working on next week.  I have to finish the DeadBabes.us theme before I can work on it though.  I intend on making a series of downloadable PDF tutorials as well, and perhaps converting the old tutorials too.  I know I prefer to download them of other sites and keep them in a folder for later use, so hopefully this will benefit other people too.

I  will be transfering my paint shop pro brush sets onto this domain, and therefore will have to spend some time emailing my major referers the new address.  I want to ensure they are added here, and tagged so that my Search Engine Optimisation increases, as I designed the old site ages ago, before I even knew what SEO stood for!

Anyway, I’m getting ahead of myself, and a little too excited.  I need to go and finish the DeadBabes site first.  I’ve tried drawing up a layout in Illustrator about 20 times already, and came up with nothing I liked.  Though last night in bed I came up with something n paper, so lets see how that one turns out!

So, what have you been up to!?

Ooh, I hope you get offered a place :). 7 pages? Wow, there’s lots of stuff for the future-employer to see and read.

    The PDF idea is great.

I’ve been host hunting (I actually miss having my own domain/site), promoting, messing with PSP and updating a non-personal site.

7 pages? Wow! Mine is barely one page long.

Good luck. Yo could try marketing companies. Those need good designers, especially if you have interesting ideas. :)
