Short Attention Span
I’m currently doing a web site for the Random Woman, for her blog - a lovely orange and grey theme and don’t get me wrong, I’m very happy to be doing it, but one moment I’m being asked to pass something, the next I have got a tiny puppy whining at me, and biting my hand and then after that someone else begging me to make a cup of tea. So when I finally do get a minute to work on the site I keep loosing my attention span, and ending up on either the dratted FaceBook or reading my feeds.
It’s not all bad though…
Even though I’m easily distracted at the moment, my attention turned to a CSS tutorial in one of my previous .net magazines (download it here) and I started learning about how to use baseline grids and how to practise better typography. I must say, it does make all the difference, and even though I don’t really fully understand at the moment, I am going to work on my own design using the principle for this site, to make a nice big, easy to read theme. I do like this current one, but I think it’s time for a change.
Obviously, some of the stuff I learnt today has helped me improve the Random Woman blog theme I’m creating… I’ve now decided I HATE rounded sidebars… hahah… especially orange ones. *glares*.
Have you learnt anything worth reporting recently? Are you easily distracted too?

My attention span isn’t bad but it’s dependant on the subject really. Like yesterday, we had to go to this lecture which was this guy talking about a uni for restoring and conserving metal pieces. I almost fell asleep, heh (I know it’s rude but I couldn’t help it). That was until the guy started mentioning the FA Cup he once has to conserve :D. After that it was all jokes.
Thanks for the tutorial link, I’ll have a read of that after work.
