Things I have been pondering…
I did some thinking two days ago, and compiled the following list as a result:
I have proved that Macs do in fact make you look clever. Fact. They spell-check everything you write, even in messenger. So I will never ever spell anything wrong again ever, which can only be a good thing.
People were only objecting to Facebook’s new layout because they are frightened of change. It is actually much better. I no longer have to wait 50minutes for a page to load up because of all the applications, and I don’t have 500 requests a day for ‘find out your stripper name.’ Such requests have seemingly dropped to anything between one and three a week. Also good.
My friend Jonathan and I decided that people can market themselves just like NatWest do with their ‘people-like-us-because-we-are-the-friendly-open-on-a-Saturday-bank-that-has-a-UK-call-center-and-never-closes-branches’ campaign. During the conversation I used myself as an example, and stated reasons as to why someone should invest their time and effort in becoming my friend, and then did a thorough marketing critique on myself. It was a very technical and in depth conversation that ended with a conclusion, but one I managed to forget. I do, however remember that I was right and he was wrong.
That is all for now, please check back in a month or so - I am sure by then I’ll have more insightful information to delight you with. Woo.

Hm. I wish I had a mac. I love my computer, but macs are so cool!

Mac’s win at life. Mine has become my life. Makes life easier. It took me awhile to get used to the new look of Failbook, but it’s grown on me.
I want a mac…I want one…waaa!
You better hide your mac because I will steal it
I’ve wanted one for sooo long, but I don’t seem to be getting anywhere. The only Apple thing I own is an Ipod; soon to be Ipod Touch.
I’m going to get an Imac just because they’re sexy. *Saves up*
Hm, that is actually one of the few things I’d like on my computer - having everything spell checked. My English is not very good so when I for example leave a comment in English I’ll copy over in Word to see if everything is spelled correctly and it is sooo annoying..
And yay (!) for someone actually appreciating the new facebook. Like you say - it is better, it’s as simple as that and those who don’t like it just need to give it a chance..
I’d love to have a Mac though I’ve never actually used one. I have seen one being used and I hear everyone saying how much they rock. Also I’m attracted by the open source opportunities that it presents.
My question is, how long does it take to get used to? Is it that much different? I guess I’m one of those people who are afraid of change.
I got a free mac because I can’t spell! It’s really cool what the gov. can do for special people like me!
Hi,
I am waiting for your next post..
Well I also love the changes that facebook made.
Macs make you look clever because they’re essentially built for idiots who know little to nothing about computers.
Had no idea the Mac had such a sophisticated spellchecker. Very handy and practical. The only downfall of the Mac was software applications. Used to be quite limited. But that has all changed now. Interesting.
I want a Mac but it’s way beyond my budget when I had to buy a new laptop. I settled to a Dell, which I found out was also pretty cool. I check my spelling and grammar through MS Word, though I don’t rely on this much because it sometimes let my mistakes pass without batting an eye.
I love my Facebook’s new layout
Yep I agree with the Facebook observation. The new layout is much better and quite user-friendly. I used to think I was the only one who experienced slow downloading of the page as I was using a slower connection.
Wow..u own a Mac. I want one too…Its next on my wishlist…
Macs are awesome. And yes, they are smart and think for you when you need it hehe. I love mine. I believe that kids should have macs if they must have a computer (like the kid in that science of identity foundation guide I Am Not Who You Think I Am by Peg Kehret). Kids need em too!
I agree with you on the facebook part…but not the Mac part. It seems to be the “cool” thing to like right now, but the lack of applications and support for Macs make me hesitant. I also hate Apple’s customer care. :/
Don’t mean to burst your bubble but I’m absolutely happy with my Windows machine. Don’t appreciate those Mac commercials insinuating how bad windows is when they should be focusing on how good they are. Lame. Mac fails in the character department.
mac spell checkers go crazy. They spellcheck words for you, but there are a lot of “of”s that should be “if”s and the like…
I love Mac … but one month ago I buyied an iPhone … next day I went to shop to change it for a Samsung Omnia.
A very incomplete phone (no radio, no mms, no videocall … well pretty nothing for a phone of 560 euros)
Apple is good for laptop and mp3/4 players but not so much for phones… my thought obviously
Another good thing about the Mac is that it is less vulnerable to malicious virus attacks than windows OS. Apart from that the Mac does look pretty cool.
Haha, I laughed a little bit at the thing that macs will make you clever :p
And I don’t really see the problem with the new Facebook layout, infact, I quite like it!
Wow! that’s great, I wish I had a mac. I have a computer and I am now waiting for mac cause its amazing.

!!!!!
I actually love the new facebook layout and I agree, people hate change and thats why you get them silly facebook groups like ‘we need 100,000 member to get facebook to switch back to the old style’.
I think people need to get more of a life rather than moaning that facebook has changed!
Thanks.
Mike
@VIn This is because its not used by mass. Viruses are targeted where they can find more people. Duh its a myth Mac cannot have viruses!! every OS can have because there is a process and there is life for every program.
BTW 3 months back there was a virus reported for MAC OS X. !!
Never really tried a mac before but will be getting one soon! Yay me!

Marketing Consultant
I have always wanted to own a Mac book, but I would never consider choosing one over a PC. Can’t explain why.
I agree about the Facebook spammy requests. The world needs fewer of these social networking marketing gurus plying their trade. However I don’t bell eave that the weight far the ideally spell cheque is over quiet yet.:)
Mac is mac and there is no comparison about it. With this kind of quality of mac certainly you will be an invisible smart human being and with the mac in hand you will be a visible smart human being.
I want a mac! I have only pc at the moment. It’s ok but I want more
