About Carly

I am Carly, I am 22 and I live in Derbyshire. I graduated from The University of York two years ago, and currently work just outside of Nottingham. I design websites for the company I work for, and try to optimise all their pages for search engine rankings, sales conversions and traffic increases.

I really enjoy my job, and love learning new things every day. I need to learn how to drive though, so I don’t have to spend four hours a day catching buses!

Of a weekend, I like nothing more then to sit on the sofa with my laptop on my knee looking for good tutorials, and editing my own website.  I’m not totally boring though.  I do like going out, socialising and drinking to some extent!

I currently live at home with my Mum, and my Brother Joseph who is actually moving out soon to live with his girlfriend. My Dad recently passed away, and I moved from York to Derby in January 2008 to spend more time with them all.

I have two mad dogs - Dylan the Black Lab, and Archie a Salt & Pepper Miniature Schnauzer.

Dylan is the most gorgeous creature you ever did see - he is empathic and can tell when you’re feeling sad. He was training to be a help dog for my Dad (fetches remote, post, takes off socks) and he is a good companion for my Mother. He also has his silly moments - and loves playing with balls and socks.

Archie is still a puppy and he’s very naughty. He is learning though, and now will sit, give a paw and ’speak’ on command. (If you have a biscuit in your hand!!) He loves to chew through electric cables (especially laptop ones!) take paper out of the bin, terrorise the other dog, and snuggle up in my lap.

I have recently decided that one of my other hobbies is scrapbooking. I’ve not actually done any yet - but I do own a scrapbooking set, and various piles of paper and photographs to create one with. I really enjoy the idea of digital scrapbooking, as I’m a bit of a geek and would like to learn about creating paper, embelishments and tags on my computer!
