Bus Hopping and Route Planning

So, as I have mentioned about four gazillion times, I start a new job tomorrow.

I’m very nervous, extremely excited and a little worried.  I am only slightly worried though , and that is concerning the travelling.  I’m inventing a new game, and it will be called Bus Hopping Around Places You Don’t Know! Catchy…

Mind you, the scanking bus company don’t appreciate the new game, they have 2 different rules which prevent me taking advantage of cheap tickets… Grr peak times, and Grr certain routes …  Doesn’t matter that I will be catching 6 buses throughout the day though, no! Grrr.

So, my Mum’s giving me a lift to town at 7.30am, and I’ll be bus hopping all the way to work.  Who knows, after all this hopping, I’ll grow ears and a tail..?

In other, non-work related news, my Dog not only pooed on the carpet today, but he was also sick on the carpet.  Naughty puppy, I want to throw him in the river now.  Also, I let him lick my yoghurt lid, and he got it all stuck in his beard.  Just like a little old man… Hahaha.

Well, sorry for the nonsensical blog tonight folks, I’m not in the mood for writing, but did want to say that I’ll not be able to do too much online now until the weekend.  I will have a few hours before bed to work on bits and bobs during the week, and seeing as I have yet to rekindle any relationships with friends in Derby, I should have the weekends free to play online.

Well, that’s it from me, I’ve gotta get to my bed now. I stopped making sense about half an hour ago…

That’s buses for you, ha. I hope the travel goes smoothly. Sounds good that you won’t have to do this everyday. Have a great first day :).

Aw, poor dog (on the sickness not poo :D). Haha, an old man.

I used to really gripe about my city’s bus and train system, but upon visiting other places, I realized ours is really quite nice. We pay the same flat 2.25$ rate for 90 minutes (unless the ride is longer of course) no matter what time of day, no matter what bus, no matter which train, etc. And our bus passes are much more reasonable than that of our Capital city. They’ve got some public transit nazis running that end of the country.

Oh, I never liked public transport either. I hope your day went well though :)

This makes me appreciate how lucky I am: I can walk to work quite leisurely. It takes me about 20 minutes. Maybe you’ll figure something out and make all this Bus hopping shorter, cheaper, easier? You never know.

    Good luck!
