Favorites: DeviantArt

I absolutely love deviantArt. I haven’t really got much to add on there, because I’m not as creative as I’d like to be, but nevertheless, it is still one of my favorite sites for inspiration and to look at quality art.

If you put aside some of the crap, (such as the emo kids putting up pictures of their friends and forgetting that dA is not myspace) you can find some quality photographs and website designs.

I decided that, (with the permission of the artists), I’d like to share some of this wonderful art with you.

So for part one I will be sharing my three favorite website designs.

1. Douglas-Studione - Water Side Surf Shop : -

I am a fan of Douglas-Studione’s whole gallery, but this is one of my favorites. I feel that Douglas makes use of the entire page, putting lots of different elements together, but it doesn’t feel overly busy or crowded.

I like the ‘corporate feel’ a lot of Douglas’s other work has. (Check out his gallery.) I really envy this - it is something I struggle with!

2. Fictionfourtyfour - Designer’s Junior Layout: -

I adore the grass and the clouds and the signs and… ohhh! I love it all. Aside from the cuteness, and the air-y ness, I really really like how everything has it’s own little section, and the whole rounded-cornerness of the layout. I should really stop extending words, and making new ones up, and tell you about Fictionfourtyfour’s gallery. It’s jam packed with simple and sexy designs. All of them have this great airy style. 3. ScanDesigns Job 3 - Noergaard

I just adore this - it is so original! Noergaar’s entire gallery is just as good as this piece, you should check it out! I just like the clean-cut style that Noergaar has - very nice.
